Inova Broadcaster FAQs

Inova Broadcaster™ offers a powerful way to display operational data and multimedia content on LCD screens. Here are some common questions we receive from contact center professionals considering a digital signage solution.

1. What types of media can I play in Broadcaster?

Inova Broadcaster offers many multimedia options to capture attention. You can embed a live or recorded TV or satellite feed, PowerPoint presentation, web page and RSS feeds in your Broadcaster view.

2. There is a lot of information I'd like to display. Am I limited to just one view?

No! Inova Broadcaster allows you to create multiple views and rotate between them as needed.

3. Can I send ad hoc and threshold messages to my displays?

Yes. Inova Solutions offers a simple messaging tool called FastText. FastText is client-specific and allows you to send scrolling text to the bottom of a Broadcaster screen to get a message to your agents quickly, without having to design a separate Broadcaster view.

4. What data sources do you connect with?

Inova Broadcaster is able to connect with virtually any data source, including automatic call distributors, workforce management systems, and ODBC databases.

5. Do I need a PC for Broadcaster?

Yes. There are a couple different options — you can use one PC to control multiple LCDs using VGA duplication hardware, or you can control each LCD with an individual PC.

6. We have several shifts of agents that see different levels of activity. Is it possible to display different information for each shift?

A useful scheduling feature in Inova Broadcaster allows you to determine specific dates, days of the week, time of day, and intervals when a message will be displayed. This will allow you to completely customize what your agents see, when you want them to see it. Also, if a message is scheduled, but you find it unnecessary, it can easily be temporarily deactivated.

7. I am not graphically-saavy. How can I create professional-looking views?

Inova Broadcaster software comes with a free media pack, full of high-resolution, licensed images and pre-built templates. If you don't have the time or resources to design your own digital signage views from scratch, you can choose from several out-of-the-box designs.
