Territory Sales Representative

Outside sales position with an established industry leading technology company.  Current opening is for a highly motivated sales representative who has had success selling in a business to business environment. The Territory Representative is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals within the Midwestern U.S. geographic territory.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sell hardware, software and professional services to new accounts in the call center and mass notification industries
  • Follow a disciplined funnel-based sales process
  • Generate business opportunities through partner relationships, networking and creative prospecting
  • Investigate, understand, and document customer’s business objectives in order to execute a successful sales strategy
  • Develop effective relationships with coaches, influencers, and decision makers across multiple departments within a single account
  • Perform and deliver ROI assessment to support value of solution within the customer environment
  • Deliver engaging and effective presentations including software demonstration
  • Maintain accurate revenue forecast
  • Pro-actively share best practices, competitive, and win/loss information to facilitate a collaborative sales environment
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to thoroughly document all customer interactions and sales plans
  • Communicate opportunity status effectively with Sales Management during strategy sessions

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of selling experience with a successful track record
  • 4 year college degree
  • Excellent questioning, listening, and presentation skills, at all levels of customer organization.
  • Ability to sell on a cost-benefit basis
  • Ability to work remotely from a home office and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to be trained and work under close guidance of Sales Director for initial period
  • Computer Skills in MS Office, CRM, Web
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional appearance, well organized
  • Technical aptitude
  • Willingness to travel
  • MBA a plus
  • Successful completion of a formal sales training program, particularly Miller-Heiman, a plus
  • Call Center background, either selling to, or working in, a plus
